The preamble to our Constitution is powerful and sacred. Authored by men who knew tyranny their whole lives. The birth of a new nation with ideals and vision setting a path to end monarchy oppression for American colonies. The Constitution seals our united union. Our duty as citizens is to stand together and defend our rights. 

As Americans, we should know it better. High school is maybe the last time you looked at it? To be honest, I have never read the entirety of the Constitution of the United States. How many articles, amendments are there?  If you are curious, there are 7 articles and 27 amendments. It's available on Congress’s website. So easily accessible but ignored by the majority.

We have taken our freedom for granted.  Believing everyone would respect this precious commodity.  We are learning it is finite and can be lost. We see those who crave power, will strip not only our rights but our dignity. The Executive branch has defended the murdering fellow citizens labeling the fallen has terrorist. The Legislative and Judiciary branches ignores the checks and balances given to them allowing the destruction of American domestic tranquility.

The Ninth Amendment, Unenumerated Rights, protects not only the written rights of the Constitution but also those unwritten.  The right to breathe, is one of those rights. Picking up your child from school without terror, is one of those rights. The right to love, is one of those rights. The right of privacy from your government is one of those rights. The right to not fear your government, is one of those rights. The fore fathers knew the constitution it was not perfect. This amendment is our armor from those imperfections. 

Donald Trump, his administration, and MAGA have taken enough of our rights. Many of us live in fear of this tyranny. Independents now hold the majority in the USA, not Republicans or Democrats.  I believe most Republicans don’t associate with MAGA. We need the Democratic party to find middle grounds candidates. We need to convince non-MAGA Republicans it’s okay to vote for a Democrat. Join People’s Ninth to persuade our fellow Americans to protect our sacred rights.
